These stories bring the scriptures to life, and make the people of ancient Isreal real and accessible, and in so doing, this program has the potential to change lives. This series is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I’ve been in religious education since 1985 and I have never seen the message of Christ and the person of Christ portrayed so close to what Scripture imparts to us. The Chosen is a great experience in the life of Jesus and His disciples(apostles)! It draws you in and helps you realize the importance of the Bible and knowing our Lord Jesus Christ!

I have watched the series 4 times on Amazon Prime. I purchased the first two seasons in hope of sharing them as our Bible study at. Every time I watch, I hear something new. Love it.

I bought these DVD's for Thursday movie nights at our church. Our church serves a local Indian Reservation and many of the people do not have reliable internet to watch this series on their television. I'm sure it will touch them as it has me.

What a blessing to have these DVDs. We just finished watching the first eight shows on the first DVD. You must be reaching many people through these DVDs. God Bless your work. My husband and I received the blessing of the Holy Spirit back in 1970 after we took an 8-week course at our church. At the end we were Baptized in the Spirit. These DVDs will reach THOUSANDS of people which is clearly a gift from God. All of you will be truly blessed.

I have purchased 2 copies of seasons 1 and 2 DVD's. I am using one copy to loan out to friends who cannot get the app and keep one copy for myself to watch the episodes over and over. This show has caused me to pay understand more when I read my Bible and I can visualize Jesus as he performs the miracles and teaches. God is working through Dallas and the crew, and I am very thankful for them.

I especially like the quality of the foreign language dubbing. It truly looks like the performers are speaking Spanish! No "funny" Japanese movie dubbing!

I bought this as a gift for a friend who is a missionary in Mexico. I love my copy and now she tells me she loves hers! Hopefully she will want the Spanish version to take back to Mexico with her!!

I stream for myself but purchased the dvd to give my nephew when he decided to be baptized. I’ve watched season one at least 7 times and my prayer is that my nephew would come to know Jesus for who he truly is as he watches.

The stories present a realistic life-true description of the times, the peoples, apostles' concerns and disagreements, the interconnection between miracles and other events, lessons to be learned in a natural human learning cycle, Jesus dual role as God and human, etc. Basically, The Chosen is a Hubble telescope view into the Jesus time with us. In a time of coming tribulation, the series provide needed, incredible insights into faith in Jesus Christ, the son of God, at a time when the predicted great revival. I love The Chosen! I was in the middle of reading my Bible in chronological order and it just got to the New testament when I started watching The Chosen. It was the second time I had read through the New testament and this time it was all brand new because of The Chosen. It opened my eyes to the "realness" of the disciples and Jesus and when I read, because of the images from The Chosen, I was able to read as if I were actually there.

I bought this for a friend, rather than loan her mine, that way she can share her friend. Anxious for #3 which I think will be out late this year

Wow!!! the dvd's are awesome!!! I bought season 1&2 for a birthday gift and the first disc from season one cracked so i bought season one again for him. He loves them and watches them over and over!!!

This is the sixth DVD I’ve given as a gift to a friend. She got it and two days later texted me that she LOVED it and can’t wait to watch Season Two….I told her about the app, but I may just go ahead and order Season Two for her!!!!!!!!!

Season 1 DVD is excellent to share to anyone who hasn't seen The Chosen yet!

I recently bought several copies of the DVD's for both seasons to give away to friends and family. I am so enthralled with the series I want others to enjoy it as well. The back stories of those who encountered Jesus are fictional, of course, but very plausible. They not only add to the entertainment of the story, but prepare us to better grasp the impact of the Gospel scenes when Jesus is encountered. The "touch points" with the scriptures are very true to the biblical accounts. Makes one want to reread the gospels with a greater appreciation for the story being told. Often I am treated to a depiction of Jesus' life events which is at odds with my own imagination. The Sermon on the Mount is one such. I don't take offense, but enjoy the different perspective that the series portrays--knowing that my own image of the scene is simply my own as well. Love the humorous moments, especially the inside jokes for bible geeks, e.g. the disciple John evesdropping on Jesus and Nicodemus and taking notes! I'm a Roman Catholic, and I have come up with new mysteries of the rosary, the Chosen Mysteries. They are 1) The exorcism of Mary Magdalene; 2) Jesus cures the paralytic lowered through the roof; 3) Jesus meets Nicodemus by night; 4) Jesus calls Matthew to be a disciple; 5) Jesus encounters the Samaritan woman at the well. There could have been several other choices. (But I had to pass over the miracle at Cana, since it has already been taken!) The judicial vicar at our diocese endorsed the idea of naming new mysteries since the rosary is a devotion (as opposed, I assume, to a defined liturgical service) wherein we meditate on gospel events.
