Author Bios:
Amanda Jenkins is an author, speaker, and the lead creator of The Chosen’s additional content. Her husband, Dallas Jenkins, directed and produced over a dozen feature and short films before creating The Chosen, the largest crowd-funded media project of all time. They live in Texas with their four children.
Dr. Douglas S. Huffman, the evangelical biblical consultant for the television series, is Professor of New Testament and Associate Dean of Biblical and Theological Studies at Talbot School of Theology (Biola University) in California.

I purchased "The Chosen Interactive Bible study" season 1 and 2. I've been a follower of Jesus for many years and have done years of bible studies. This is the first one I've encountered that is written as by a friend. I love the familiar sense of writing style. It's relatable. I am having difficulty posting a picture of the books. I started reading and could not put it down. I have learned so much already. I’ll tell you a secret. I have a TBI and suffer from PTSD. I go through periods where I just wish I could die. I started watching season one while you were still doing Season 3. I read them over and over and I watch Seasons 1 and 2. I have purchased them also for my daughter. She is pregnant with twins. She is the only person in our families that will have children. She was only going to have one and then got pregnant with twins! THAT is an answer to a prayer!! There was only one thing that would give me back my will to live. These babies are a prayer answered. I’ve been reading and watching and I still have the joy and willingness to watch these little girls grow. Thank you Dallas for taking on this project. Thank you to all the crew for such an amazing TRUTH that is spreading world wide.
And to be honest, while I am watching the Chosen (the cast is amazing)…I do have a favorite though and I’ll tell you why. Whenever I have really needed God, I would pray and cry and plead but I guess it wasn’t my time yet. I didn’t think I would ever be happy again. Then I saw the scene in The Chosen (season 1) where Jesus is at the fountain. Jonathan Roumie is an incredibly expressive actor. He has a stare that is not intimidating. When he tears up…so do I. He is so kind…yet he can take control. I know that he is acting but when I picture Jesus saying and doing these things, it is Jonathan’s eyes I see. Some of the things he says (makes me cry in a happy way). I have hope for the future. I feel Jesus in my heart and it is so strong that it brings me to tears. The entire ensemble

To tell the truth, I was surprised at how much I loved these Bible studies! I am used to very in-depth studies that can overwhelm me sometimes. These are welcome, breath-of-fresh air studies, explaining the very basics of Christianity and the simplicity of the Gospel! I love the slight humor in the comments and the easy readability of each chapter. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they are written; I'm not sure what I expected, but these books exceeded my expectations. I look forward to using both of these studies with a group and I have already recommended them to my daughter and her young adult/young family small group at their church. They are perfect studies to use with busy parents trying to fit a Bible study into their hectic lives!
