Although I have already seen Seasons 1, 2, & 3 I purchased the DVD's/Blue-ray Discs because I have encountered some people who haven't seen the series yet and have no access to the internet to stream it YET that have a DVD/Blue-ray player. I did this to not only share the Chosen experience with others but more importantly to get the message about our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ out to others which I believe the Chosen does an excellent job of revealing the true natue of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

It’s a great show, I love how it can bring parts of scripture to life, making you see how it could’ve potentially unfolded. It’s obviously not a replacement for the Bible but I think it will help encourage people to actually open up their bible and develop a relationship with our Lord Jesus.

Season 2 may be even better than Season 1! These stories bring the scriptures to life, and make the people of ancient Isreal real and accessible; this program has the potential to change lives. The character of Christ, as portrayed by Jonathan Roumie, has touched my heart, and reintroduced scripture in a way that is both realistic and beautiful.

The repetitive nature of sin I know all too well. To see Mary Magellan fall just as she did before Jesus saved her hit home for me.
The fleshing out of the apostles is too good to be true. It wasn't just Mary, Mathew and little John (with his physical issues), the pride of Peter and anger of the Zebedee brothers mirrored my own false self worth or lack there of.
Jesus came so all could be save. Yet, it's our brokenness where the Light of Christ shines brightest.

This was another purchase to round out Season 1 & Season 2 sets. I've been using these to "plat seeds". I give these out for people interested and instruct them when they are finished watching them to pass them along to somebody else or give them to their church for the library. One thing I found, which I tell them, is to watch them in sequence to get the full meaning and effect of the story....so far. Great work, I pray for "The Chosen" group producing these asking God's protection from the enemy in what they are doing.
