The Way of the Chosen is an eight-lesson interactive Bible study for individuals or small groups that works in tandem with each episode of the show. In modeling “the narrow road that leads to life” it includes:- Forgiving the way Jesus does

- Grieving what He grieves
- Standing firm on His words and character
- Delighting in the things that please Him

Readers will be challenged to move from knowing who Jesus is to living out their faith by going the way of the Chosen.
Author Bio:
Amanda Jenkins is an author, speaker, and the lead creator of The Chosen’s additional content. Her husband, Dallas Jenkins, son of celebrated Left Behind author Jerry Jenkins, directed and
produced over a dozen feature and short films before creating The Chosen, the largest crowd-funded media project of all time. They currently live in Texas with their four children.
Dr. Douglas S. Huffman, the evangelical biblical consultant for the television series, is Professor of New Testament and Associate Dean of Biblical and Theological Studies at Talbot School of Theology

I’m amazed at the quality of these study guides. Each chapter explores the Biblical truths explored in each episode of the series, knitting together Old and New Testament truths. The graphics are colourful and engaging. Each chapter also explores the characters encountered in that episode and places them within scripture. These are very good Bible Studies, especially for groups. The only thing I would have liked to have seen was for there to be a list of the specific Scripture passages depicted in each episode. It would be very helpful for the group to be able to read these before watching the episode (since our ultimate authority is scripture) and then see these passages come to life on the screen.

I'm a pastor with a small congregation and after I viewed the first season of The Chosen I was impressed with the high quality of the theology and the straight forward approach of making Jesus highly relatable and trustworthy. After my complete mental breakdown in 2001, I have been struggling with reading & comprehension, especially the Bible. But I did find a CD set of the King James Version of the Bible. I can comprehend better by hearing & seeing.
I don’t really know if there is a specific version of the Bible that is better than another as I used to read the NIV before my incident but I couldn’t find a CD format.
One great thing about my complete mental break is that my faith, trust & belief in God has grown immensely & continues to grow each day. I just want to shout from the rooftop or highest mountain what my Jesus has done for me & continues to do for me.
I’m still so flawed & struggle but I know that I can get through anything as long as I keep God front & centered. He is not my copilot, He is my pilot!

I was afraid these books would be some dinky little devotional with some fluff Bible verse attached to them, maybe illustrated with photos from the show. But I was HOPING these books would be so much more than that- an in-depth study based on the Scriptures referenced in the show. I wanted to go in deep and study the Scriptures quoted in the show and the Scriptures that the scenes in the show were based on, because I wanted to see what life lessons I myself could glean from what the disciples and other characters in the show were learning. Each time I watch an episode, I always find something I hadn't seen before. I just ordered all three seasons of Bible Study books.
I started on season 1 and can already tell that these studies will enrich the content of the episodes and add scripture to make them come even more alive. I also ordered the Christmas CD. I had seen The Shepherd before, but not the Christmas with The Chosen. It was so well done, showing the birth of Jesus combined with future events the disciples faced including having to go into hiding for spreading the message of Jesus as Lord and Savior of the world. I truly believe and pray for the

I am, as a pastor, using the books to help a group watch the CHOSEN through Lent. We had our first gathering last night. The episodes speak for themselves. The study books have helped me to stay focused with a balcony view so that I can bring them back to the center each time. I am learning that these episodes are too powerful to rush through, so perhaps it was a bit ambitious to try all three seasons in Lent, however, I am glad I am seeing them all watching!
