This one is going to a place called Her Story, a safe home for women that are victims of domestic abuse. Next month I’ll purchase another set and donate them somewhere else. I've just begun watching Season 1 on TV and absolutely love it. The Gospels are really the Reader's Digest version of all that really happened, and this dramatization helps me understand some things.

I’ve been buying Seasons 1, 2, & 3 DVD’s for awhile and have distributed one set to our local prison so the priest who ministers to the prisoners can use it as a tool. The others have gone to a women’s domestic abuse shelter, a Veteran’s home, a Methodist outreach center, Dismas house which is a home for people transitioning from prison to the community, our high school, etc. Our parish has been showing an episode a week with a discussion afterwards. Yesterday I donated the 3 seasons to Father John, a Capuchin monk at another of our churches. He’s thrilled to share them with his students, & apparently the monks only have a dvd player. No tv! So he was extra excited to be able to watch the episodes again. When season 4 is available I’ll distribute it to all the places I’ve donated to. I’ll be ordering more sets too! Happy to share His word!

I just love how the writers have interpreted the gospels and especially how wonderfully the actors depict each character....after 12 years of Catholic school it is incredible to me how interesting the series makes each and every show . I especially love how the show humanizes the characters, especially Jesus! It makes them so much more real and easy to relate to.

This is the most moving and entertaining version of the Son of God that I have ever seen. Jesus is both very human in the humor and realistic conversations that He has with His followers and shows His divine nature in the way that He meets with Master Nicodemus and His sermon on the mount.
If this series doesn't make you think, laugh and cry, then you need to watch it again!
